News & Updates

Scrip Gift Card Rewards is the perfect fundraiser because families generate money through purchases they would make anyway. No further spending is required. Groceries, clothes, household items, books, gasoline and practically anything else you regularly buy can be purchased with scrip gift cards. When you do so, you are raising vital funds for Ridgeview and accruing money in your personal family account that can be used for school-related expenses. It doesn't get any better than that! There are hundreds of vendors to choose from. View them all at www.shopwithscrip.com.

Orders must be in each week by Monday at 8:00 a.m. On-hand sales will be available Monday before school, Thursday after school, and Friday before and after school. If you would like more information about the program or would like to volunteer, please contact DeAnn at thevrbas@q.com.

If you would like to help out with the Gift Card Program, we welcome volunteers. You can contact us at scrip@ridgeviewclassical.com.

Save from 2% to 21% a week on your money!  That's better than any bank can offer!
Only order cards for what you would spend anyway!

Order Online
Register at www.shopwithscrip.com and register your family.  Our enrollment code is 9L9937568511.  All our vendors are listed, including those that we don’t buy through GLScrip.

Pay Online
Through the www.shopwithscrip.com website you can now also pay for you order.  You have to use a bank account, sorry no credit cards.  Register for “PrestoPay”.  There is a $0.39 charge added to your order by PrestoPay for this service, but that is a lot cheaper than the gas you would use to drive in.

What is the Gift Card Rewards program and why does my family want to participate?

What is Gift Card Rewards?
Gift Card Rewards is simply another word for gift cards and gift certificates, the kind you can purchase at most national retailers and use like cash. Our school buys them at a discount (from 3-21%) from local grocery stores and Great Lakes Scrip Center, a national gift card/certificate clearing house for non-profit organizations. When you purchase the gift cards and certificates at their face value from Ridgeview, the school keeps the discount as a profit and shares that with you.

Why does my family want to participate in the Gift Card Rewards Program?
Families that participate in the program will receive 80% of the profit the school earns from their Gift Card purchases as a family credit. This is the reward. This credit can be used each year to pay for the Yearbook, or can be accumulated from year to year to help pay for the 6th grade Eco Week and the High School Italy Trip

The Italy Trip is a fantastic, life changing opportunity for your student to personally experience the art and architecture of ancient world and renaissance period which they have studied in their classes. It is an extraordinary chance for their book learning to come to life. But, trips like this aren't cheap and that's where the Gift Card Rewards Program can help.

Can a family really earn enough credit to pay for the trip?
YES, especially if you start while your child is young! Consider the following chart which is an estimate of what a family could earn. This is conservative:

Monthly Family
Expenditures
Projected Annual
Family Credit
Groceries
$500.00
$192.00
Gasoline
$100.00
$24.00
Dining Out
$50.00
$48.00
Clothing
$50.00
$28.80
Entertainment/Video Rentals
$25.00
$21.60
Home Repair/Improvement
$50.00
$9.60

$324.00
X 10 years of saving = $3240 credit to be used for the trip!

If you "work" the program, your yearly credit could be even larger!

My child is already in High School. I have several kids. It's too late for me to start.
Families at a local private school use their school's Rewards program to pay their tuition, about $4000 a year. How? They get family and friends to purchase scrip from them and earn credit from their purchases. So, with some effort, it is quite possible to use the Rewards program and earn enough credit to pay for the trip in a year!

I can't imagine sending my kindergartner to Europe!
When my child was that age, I couldn't imagine sending him either. But I wish I had had the opportunity to plan ahead for the possibility. Even if your child ends up not going and you don't use all your credit, it will go to a great cause, Ridgeview's General Fundraising Account to help make our school even better than it already is.
