    Mr. Wagner was born and raised in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, graduating in 1974 from Northern Michigan University with a major in history, a math minor, and certification in secondary education. He taught in both public and private schools before joining the US Air Force. Mr. Wagner then graduated in 1986 from the University of Houston with another undergraduate degree, this one in mathematics, and in 1987 from the Air Force Institute of Technology with a Masters degree in Space Systems Operations Research.     Mrs. Hoffman has taken over the responsibilities of the Board President this year. She has spent the last year working closely with Mrs. Miller to ensure a smooth transition. Mrs. Hoffman and her husband Bob first found Ridgeview in 2005 when they moved to Fort Collins. Their children were originally enrolled in the neighborhood schools. The lack of rigorous content and discipline in the classrooms made learning difficult. In the middle of the school year they found Ridgeview Classical Schools. The RCS mission, “to develop the academic potential and personal character of each student through academically rigorous, content-rich, educational programs,” fit their family perfectly....

    Dan Nygaard has been associated with Ridgeview Classical Schools from the first year of its inception. His son joined the first 9th grade class that year, and upon graduation attended Hillsdale College. He is now a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Army. Previously, the Nygaards were involved in the founding of Washington (now Traut) Core Knowledge School. In 1992, as a candidate for Colorado State Representative, Dan championed charter schools, a conviction he holds even stronger today.     Kristina Menon has been a part of Ridgeview since 2001. She has a son who is a Junior, and a daughter who will be starting 7th grade. Always passionate about education, Kristina has been committed to RCS from the start. She wholeheartedly supports and is committed to the Core Principles of Classical Education. Born in Detroit, her family moved to the Dallas, Texas area when she was twelve. She and her husband moved to Fort Collins in 1991, and have been active members of Colorado State University and the larger fort Collins Community.     Dr. Heyliger has been associated with RCS since the Fall of 2003 when he enrolled the oldest of his five children after 9 years of home-schooling. All five of his children have either graduated from or are currently enrolled in RCS. Dr. Heyliger is currently Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Colorado State University, and he has served in the same department since 1988. He earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering in 1981 and his M.S. in Structural Engineering and Solid Mechanics in 1983 (both from CSU), and his Ph.D. in Engineering Science and Mechanics from Virginia Tech in 1986.
