Where were you born and where have you lived?

I was born in Amarillo, Texas but was raised primarily in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Growing up, I spent a lot of time at our family cabin in Durango, Colorado. I have also lived in Oklahoma, Ohio, California, and Illinois.

Where did you attend university or college?

I attended the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, and Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois.

What kind of reading do you most enjoy doing?

My favorite reading usually involves science or science fiction, although I also enjoy historical books and classics.

What are the small essentials that make life more comfortable?

music, caffeine, chocolate, a graphing calculator, and some sort of device for accessing the internet

What are your favorite snacks?

I like corn tortilla chips with homemade salsa and guacamole, strawberries or berries of any sort, chocolate, and cashews.   

What do you do to unwind?

I enjoy watching Nova, Nature, or American Experience on PBS and binge-watching favorite shows on Netflix.

I also enjoy being outdoors on pretty days.
