Ms. Fritts

Where were you born and where have you lived? I was born in Wisconsin, but I grew up in Minnesota, therefore considering Minnesota my home state.

Where did you attend university or college? I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumental and Vocal Music Education at St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN. My first year of graduate school was at the University of Michigan, however I found a better fit with my mentor at Northwestern University and earned my Master of Music Degree in Horn Performance at NU.

What kind of reading do you most enjoy doing? I particularly enjoy inspiration reading. I also enjoy historical readings about music and composers.

What are the small essentials that make life more comfortable? While not small at all, friendships make life meaningful!

What are your favorite snacks? Organic cherries, savory gluten-free snacks and, sadly, chocolate!

What do you do to unwind? My passion outside of school, which energizes me IN school, is playing the Horn with musician friends in orchestras and chamber ensembles. I also love to take my dogs to the creek.

How could a parent volunteer help you most? This being my first year at Ridgeview, I am guessing that concert set-up and tear-down would be the most helpful (and appreciated). I would also love some help stuffing and labeling my music boxes for the class library.
