Middle School

Ridgeview's Middle School (also referred to as the Intermediate School) encompasses grades 7-8.
Intermediate students begin to get a taste for the high school experience, without being lost in the crowd at a larger school.
Course offerings and electives are broadened, as well as the variety of extracurricular activities and events available for participation.

Performing Arts

In middle school, students are able to choose to participate in orchestra, band, or choir. In addition to those performance opportunities, middle school students have the opportunity to audition for the middle school musical.

Science & Technology

In Middle School, students are immersed in STEM. Every year, two 6th grade girls attend the HP Girls Tech Camp, a camp that encourages girls' interest in science and tech fields. In 2016, our Middle School Science Bowl team won the Colorado state competition and participated in the national competition in Washington, DC.

Middle School Day

Every April, our middle schoolers are provided the opportunity to take "mini-courses" on a variety of topics. Previous mini course classes have included: dance, painting, bicycling, and more. They also enjoy lunch and games.

Outdoor Education

Students in grades 7-8 attend class trips to learn outdoor skills and foster friendships. Previous trips have included orienteering in Wyoming, and nordic skiing in State Forest State Park.

Athletics

6th-8th grade students can participate in cross country, boys and girls soccer, girls volleyball, boys and girls basketball, and track and field.

Character Education

The tenets of the Character Pillars continue to be emphasized throughout in the middle school. Students may be recognized for their character and academic performance through Student of the Quarter awards.
