Ridgeview happily accepts applications throughout the year for ALL faculty and staff positions, regardless of whether a specific position has been posted, as jobs periodically become available throughout the year. Teachers are hired based upon their mastery of academic disciplines and ability to convey knowledge to young people. Certification is neither required nor preferred.

Current Openings

+ Special Education Teacher

Ridgeview is seeking candidates for a special education position. Successful candidates will have an accomplished academic background and a strong interest in teaching. RCS special education teachers are responsible for reinforcing and implementing educational material to support and strengthen student skills. They work closely with the special education staff, teachers, and parents. Other duties include preparing materials, data collection, creating IEPs, and maintaining files. Strong candidates for this position will possess excellent written and spoken communication skills and the ability to relate grammatical concepts to students. Colorado State License in Special Education is required.

+ Elementary Faculty: Latin

Ridgeview Classical Schools is seeking candidates for a full-time Latin teacher in the Lower School (K-6) beginning in the 2019-20 academic year. The intellectual life of the faculty is particularly rich; it includes a large number of Ph.D. and Masters recipients in both the humanities and sciences who are also dedicated to shaping the hearts and minds of the young. The Department of Classics employs five full-time classicists, and offers a full serving of courses in Latin and Greek.

The Department is dedicated to conversation-based methods of teaching ancient languages, and is one of the only secondary programs in the world that can teach ancient Greek this way. The elementary school Latin program centers on self-expression and guided play. Fluency in speaking Latin is not necessary, but an active interest in learning is a must. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing lessons in conjunction with the department head and other relevant faculty.

+ Development Coordinator

Ridgeview Classical Schools is a not-for-profit public school established to provide students with a first-rate, liberal arts, classical education. Presently, we are seeking a Development Coordinator to lead Ridgeview’s fundraising efforts. The Coordinator will help design, implement, and coordinate organization-wide donor relations and steward a program to generate support from new and existing donors, identify top prospects, manages correspondence, and strengthen relationships.

The Coordinator will work with other administrators to develop an understanding of all areas of Ridgeview’s mission and philosophy. Qualified candidates should have previous experience in development, be committed to classical education, and capable of working collaboratively with other administrators.
