Volunteering at Ridgeview

Whether you are new to Ridgeview or simply renewing your commitment to Ridgeview, become a part of Ridgeview. Participate. Volunteer. Be a part of our reading groups each morning. Support the arts program. Help out in the classroom. Give yourself every opportunity and reason to appreciate the enormity of what is occurring here over the next twelve months. Ridgeview will change your children, but it can also change you if you let it. That is its magic, and we invite you to participate in it. So, again, welcome to Ridgeview and to what can be a truly transformative experience.

Log Your Hours

Your time is not only greatly appreciated but is also reported to PSD. The number of volunteer hours demonstrates just how wonderful our volunteers are here at RCS. Please log your hours online or email our Volunteer Coordinator with the hours and date that you volunteered.

+ The Hoplite Hoedown

Each year, the Hoplite Hoedown Dinner & Auction raises funds for various RCS initiatives or construction projects.

  • In 2018-19, we raised $27,000 to put toward PAC renovations and improvements.
  • In 2017-18, we raised more than $30,000 in support of replacing upper school lockers at RCS.
  • In 2016-17, we raised over $11,000 in support of replacing the playground turf.

+ Reading Groups

Our elementary classes regularly require volunteers to assist in daily morning reading groups. This is a great opportunity to empower our youngest Hoplites as they begin and strengthen their journey with reading. Please contact classroom teachers or CVCs for details.

+ Fine Arts Committee for Events (FACE)

This committee has been established as an expanded version of the former Music Boosters committee. Recognizing the increasing collaboration between our fine arts groups at Ridgeview, this group gathers volunteers and raises for all fine art departments across all grades (K-12) including music, choir, dance, theater, and art.
