Where were you born and where have you lived?

I was born and raised in San Francisco, California but have been living in Fort Collins the last 25 years. My family travels to Santa Cruz, CA every summer to surf.

Where did you attend university or college?

I attended Colorado State University and received my Bachelor's Degree in Human Development and Family Studies. I then attended the University of Denver to receive my elementary teaching license.

What kind of reading do you most enjoy doing?

I enjoy reading fiction, particularly Jodi Picoult in my spare time but my favorite books to read to students are fairy tales. I love to create voices for the characters and have great conversations about invaluable traits.

What are the small essentials that make life more comfortable?

Small essentials that make my life more comfortable: coffee, good music, anything lavender, and my husband and son’s laughter.

What are your favorite snacks?

My favorite snacks are Peanut M&M's, Dill Pickle sunflower seeds, and buttered popcorn.

What do you do to unwind?

The best way for me to unwind is by reading, snowshoeing with my dog, watching movies, listening to music, and spending time with my family.

How could a parent volunteer help you most?

Parent volunteers can help me out the most in reading groups. Our budding readers can't do it alone!
